Hello! In this session, I will take you on a journey through music and conversations to create space to listen, think, and react to my journey in the 2020–2021 France-Merrick Civic Fellowship. I will be centering the listening experience on three words: Growth, Pause, and Change.

So what is the France Merrick Civic Fellowship? This is a unique fellowship through the Johns Hopkins University Center for Social Concern, where JHU students have the opportunity to invest their education, work, and leadership into a focus area. Among the cohort of 7 awesome fellows, I focused on the intersection of immigration and healthcare. I wanted to focus on this intersection because it highlights three things I am passionate about: being a daughter of immigrants, equitable healthcare, and Baltimore.

The first song I used in this listening experience was Debussy- Reverie by F. J. Thiollier and the second song I used in this listening experience was An Unfamiliar Place by Joseph Earicker (@joseph-earwicker) I highly recommend checking out these artists and their extensive library of music.
